R. John Wright Jack & Jill™

R. John Wright Dolls, Mother Goose Mouse Collection

Jack and Jill
Went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water;
Jack fell down
And broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

3", 2013, We are pleased to present the sixth piece in the charming series of costumed mice based on the Olde Mother Goose nursery rhymes illustrated by Kate Greenaway. Jack & Jill each measure a diminutive 3" tall. They are designed in mouse form of the finest mohair plush and jointed at the neck and shoulders. Jack & Jill feature realistic coloring, glass pupil eyes, inset whiskers, resin hands and feet, and fine leather tails.

From the original English nursery rhyme of the same name, Jack & Jill are costumed in true Kate Greenaway fashion. Jill wears an Empire-waist frock made of fine custom-dyed cotton batiste. On her head she wears a tiny bonnet sewn of miniature natural straw braid with ruched silk lining and a matching silk ribbon. Jack is outfitted in a long cotton smock of the period with authentic cartridge pleating at the front and back. He is accessorized with a wool felt hat. Between them, Jack & Jill hold a handpainted miniature wooden bucket as they start up the hill on their ill-fated venture! This is the first paired set of mice ever offered by R. John Wright.

Each pair of mice will come in a deluxe RJW presentation box with the accompanying signed and numbered certificate of authenticity and the forms for owner registration.
