Steiff's high standards are firmly rooted in their tradition.  They are still committed to their first company motto - "Only the best is good enough for children" - which was formulated by Margarete Steiff in 1892. After all, the "Button in Ear" should always remain indicative of top quality materials and workmanship and always live up to the high expectations of their customers.
